southwest monsoon was been excellent .  heavy raining past three months have made many place much wetter . lakkidi wayanad which got only about 1500 mm last year due to bad monsoon . and after five years it had came back it position . one official said "now the climate is same like 20 years back in wayanad " kuttiyadi ghats a gateway to wayanad has also got heavy rain and crossed 5000 mm . neriyamangalam got heavy rain past five years but  has dropped down to 9th . lakkidi recived good rain in the month of august too.
